Nova Scotia Immigration Invites Programmers And Interactive Media Developers
Nova Scotia PNP invited Express Entry candidates in its Labour Market Priorities Stream draw.
Nova Scotia immigration has invited programmers and interactive media developers (NOC 2174) in a new draw through the province’s Express Entry-linked Labour Market Priorities stream.
The Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) released the October 22 draw’s eligibility criteria for Express Entry candidates. The NSNP did not disclose the number of invitations issued.
The invited candidates needed to have a primary occupation as computer programmers and interactive media developers (NOC 2174). They need to demonstrate that they have three or more years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in NOC 2174 within the five years preceding the application by providing letters of reference from employers. They also need to have at least one year of Canadian work experience, in any occupation in NOC skill level O, A, or B.
The invited candidates must have a Canadian Language Benchmark score of 7 or higher in English in all language abilities. They must also hold a bachelor’s degree or have completed another post-secondary program of at least three years.
The candidates must apply for the provincial nomination no later than 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 21, 2020.
Candidates are required to include copies of their language tests and proof of education in their applications. Candidates must prove their education by including an Educational Credential Assessment report, if educational credentials were obtained outside of Canada.
The Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities stream invites candidates in the federal Express Entry system who meet provincial labour market needs. In the previous Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw out of Nova Scotia, Express Entry candidates with experience in the automotive industry were invited.
In order to be considered for a provincial nomination under the Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities Stream, candidates must have a profile in the Express Entry system.
The invited candidates must submit their application within 30 calendar days of the date on which letter of interest was issued to them.
The candidates who receive the provincial nomination from Nova Scotia will automatically be awarded an additional 600 CRS points, which will effectively guarantee them an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in a subsequent Express Entry draw.
